My name is Kate Messer, and I am very excited to be teaching 5th Grade Math & Science at Vineland Elementary School. Though I am originally from the suburbs of Chicago, I have lived and taught in several different states: Illinois, North Carolina, Georgia, Colorado, and Florida. Teaching 5th Grade is my favorite!

I have four children and one grandson. Michael, my youngest, is in the U.S. Air Force and is stationed in Colorado Springs. My oldest, Christopher, lives in Sarasota, My daughters, Emily and Samantha are right in the middle. Emily lives in Highlands, North Carolina and Samantha lives in Illinois with my 8 year old grandson, Jensen.

We are a family full of fur babies. I have 4 pets! Daisy and Toby are both cats. Chester is a 12 year old Puggle who has traveled all over with me. My newest fur baby is Cleopatra. She is a puppy and is full of energy and sass! Four pets are a lot of work. In my free time I love to read, travel and spend time outdoors.
