Ahoy, to all of the incoming Freshman signed up for the Charlotte High School, Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps Program. I would like to start off by welcoming you all aboard. The 2023-2024 school year is off to a great start and I am looking forward meeting all of you on 8/10/2023. This school year marks the 50th anniversary of the NJROTC program at Charlotte High School. We are one of the oldest units in the state of Florida, and also one of the most successful. Ever since the "Honor unit" award was established in the early 1990's, Charlotte has been on the list. We have a deep tradition of supporting the community, supporting the school, competing with other area NJROTC units at the highest level, and most importantly sending well prepared graduates into society ready to take on life. You are now part of the biggest organization at CHS, and one of the tightest family's at CHS. During the first few days of school, I will go into all of the details about the program, so that you will know how you can get involved. Freshman make up about 45% of our unit, so in order for our unit to continue to thrive, your participation will be essential. There will be many NJROTC events that will be taking place within a few days of school starting, so the goal for me will be to get you on board as quickly as possible. In closing, I hope that you all have had a great summer, are recharged, and ready to get your high school days started.
Very Respectfully,
Chief Williams
