Hello! 

My name is Meridith Meerman and I am one of our fourth grade teachers here at East Elementary School. I have always taught upper elementary school (third and fourth grade) and find them the perfect age group! I love to teach science and come from a Montessori background. I believe that as humans we learn by doing, and love to be hands on and do projects in my room. I run our schools solar cooking club and I love to see my classroom kids join in on the fun!

I have lived a little bit here and little bit there. I started out in Ohio, however have lived in Kansas and North Carolina too. My husband and I have two beautiful children, Michael and Faith. We have three Great Danes, two cats, and a bunch of chickens! I enjoy being outdoor and staying active.

  • Students are to read every night, Monday through Friday night for thirty minutes. Once they have completed that they are to write a sumamry in their agenda books that entails who, what, when, where, why, and how. They write this summary under that days column directly inside their agenda book. 

    I ask you check you check your childs agenda book nightly to ensure 1. their homework is done 2. you have seen their clip chart number for the day and 3. to ensure their are not any notes or anything that need read from me. Once you have done this please inital at the bottom.
