• I am so excited to start the year as Kingsway's new Art Teacher! This has been my lifelong goal, and I am overjoyed to finally be able to fulfill it! I cannot wait to meet EVERY student and share my passion for art with them! Through shared positive experiences and creative problem solving, students will be able to enhance their resilience, imagination, and love of learning in all subjects!

Please be on the lookout for flyers and Remind messages from your friendly neighborhood Art teacher throughout the year! Your students are going to have an amazing year in art, and I know you will be eager to share in their creativity!

Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Socci

I grew up in New England. I moved to Florida when I was 12 and have lived in Charlotte County ever since. I have worked at Kingsway since November 2015. I have loved every minute of it.

I have two wonderful children, Atreyu (in 5th grade) and Justice (in 3rd grade). I also have an amazing husband who has never ceased to put up with my crazy antics in the 14 years we have been together. We also get to love our one crazy adorable dog, Cleopatra, our frisky and fun cat, Ghost, and our sneak black cat, Raven. My favorite things are creating art, woodworking, sewing, and reading books! My favorite quote is by George R.R. Martin: “The person who reads lives a thousand lives before he dies. The person who does not lives only one.” Fantasy and science fiction are my favorite genres, but I find can find some small greatness in any book.

I am passionate about what I do. Besides books, art, and woodworking, my calling is to be a teacher. I am so happy that I get to combine my passions and help  your students develop a passion for art, too! I love each and every one of my students from the moment they step into my classroom. I am silly, sarcastic, and occasionally scatterbrained, but I am a teacher with high expectations. I give 110% as often as I can, and expect the same of my students. My goal this year is to engage and challenge all of my students creatively to help them build their resilience, passion, and imagination. I hope to help build the community at Kingsway Elementary through shared positive experiences, and by exposing students to art from all over the world!

  • School begins on August 10th.

I look forward to seeing all of the smiling faces walk on Open House night, August 9th.

Please feel free to stop by the art room!
