Mrs. Meadows, 5th Grade ELA
Mrs. Meadows was born in Iowa City and grew up in Arnolds Park, Iowa. When she was in fifth grade there were eleven kids in her class, 4 girls and 7 boys. Her favorite subject was Art.
She graduated from Okoboji High School in 1994. After High School, she attended Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa. Mrs. Meadows majored in Elementary Education and earned a Bachelors of Science Degree, as well as a K-12th Grade Reading Endorsement. A few years ago, she finished her Masters of Education Degree from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa..
This year Mrs. Meadows and her husband Brian are celebrating their 20 year wedding anniversary. They have two daughters; Amber will be studying to be a surgical technician at Western Iowa Tech. College back in Iowa. Their daughter Ashlyn is a Senior at Lemon Bay High.
We are welcoming Mrs. Meadows as it is her first year teaching at Vineland Elementary. Mrs. Meadows’ mission statement is to ‘teach with her heart’ and she thinks it is important to let students know how much she cares about their academic growth and social/emotional well being. She is glad to be at Vineland, because ‘caring’ is a shared teaching philosophy at Vineland Elementary.
